SPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT?

Before the game Mark Cohen (No 1) of the Coventry Jets Proposed Marriage to Ellie Greenwood, and she said YES!!! Silly Girl!!!
I threw a flag for Sportsmanlike Conduct but did not know the signal or yardage so I had to wave it off!
(Any suggestion for what that signal might look like would be welcomed - send to newsflash@bafra.org)

SITUATION VACANT

Director of Youth and Development

BAFRA is looking for a new director. Although the title is "Director of Youth and Development", the job would be better described as "Director of Recruitment".

We are looking for someone who will take responsibility for increasing BAFRA's membership numbers through innovative new campaigns and taking maximum advantage of existing relationships. In particular, we want someone who can take immediate charge of our campaign to recruit members from universities during freshers' weeks this coming October.

The successful applicant will have commitment and enthusiasm, coupled with reasonable communication skills. He or she will not necessarily have been a member of BAFRA for very long – in fact, a new(ish) member may bring new perspectives to the role.

Applications should be sent by email to me before Friday 21st July. If you are considering applying or want more information, please contact me for an informal discussion.

MISSING OFFICIALS

I understand that there have been a number of instances where a crew has had to officiate one short when one of the crew has not turned up. Should this occur, please let me know by email.

EXPENSES

All expenses totalling £10 or more have been posted today. This covers the period up to 30th June. Anybody who has outstanding expenses from this period and has not received it by Friday, should contact me.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

At the Directors' meeting last week, it was decided to increase the membership fee to £40 (with a £5 discount if paid by the agreed time). The increase is in line with the increase in game day fees, and will be used to subsidise accommodation at next year's convention.

More details will follow with the renewal form due out next month.

RETURN OF INJURED PLAYER

Play: In the first quarter, A1 is taken by ambulance to a local hospital as the request of the trainer. If he should later return to the stadium, can A1 be allowed back in the game without written authorisation of a physician?

Ruling: If A1 were bleeding, the bleeding would have to be controlled and if any part of his uniform were saturated with blood, the apparel would have to be changed. Otherwise, there is no rule preventing A1 from returning (3-3-5a).
