GAME MANAGEMENT REPORTS
BRITBOWL XX PICTURESJim has added some pictures taken at this year's BritBowl to the web - these may be viewed at http://www.bafra.org/gallery/BritBowl2006/index.htm. JACKET FOUNDSteve Tonkinson picked up a jacket left in the changing rooms after Sunday's BritBowl games. It is grey with black sleeves, and has a BAFRA badge on one sleeve and a Dutch Officals' badge on the other. The owner is requested to contact Steve to arrange its return. FLAG TOURNAMENTWe have heard from the Kent Exiles who are having a flag tournament on the 8th October at their ground at Crockenhill. It is a fun event for friends and families of the exiles. They have asked if we officials would like to enter a team or if not help with refereeing on the day. There is no cost to enter a team and they will offer (if you ref) a free burger and a drink from the bar for helping out.

BLOCK BELOW THE WAISTPlay: A1’s pass is intercepted by B2. During B2’s runback, B5 blocks below the waist in front of A8, who has both feet on the ground. B5’sblock occurred after he was contacted by A8’s hands, which were (a) above his waist, or (b) below his waist. Ruling: B5’s block was legal in (a) but illegal in (b). If a blocker’s initial contact is with an opponent’s hand and the blocker follows through and blocks that opponent below the waist, the block is above the waist if the blocker first contacts the opposing player’s hands at or above waist level; the block is below the waist if the contact with the opponent’s hand is below the waist (2-3-2b, 2-3-4a).
