THE MATT HAMPSON BOWL
Leicester Panthers will be taking on Loughborough Aces in the Matt Hampson Bowl at Leicester Tigers ground, Welford Road on Bank Holiday Monday, 28th May with the game kicking off 3pm.
Martin Johnson will be playing and there has been talk of TV coverage from the BBC and Sky.
A crowd of between 8,000 and 10,000 are expected so there should be a great atmosphere.
Tickets are £5 and children under 14 get in free, visit http://www.leicesterpanthers.co.uk and follow the link for tickets.
Leicester Panthers have asked BAFRA to provide the chain crew for the game so if you're free on 28th May and would like to volunteer your services for a very good cause, please contact me.
The crew officiating the game will be donating their fee to the Matt Hampson Trust.

He took exception to his brother being thrown to the ground and despite being restrained ran into the opponents huddle and contacted a player forcefully.

Goals were too wide (soccer goals with extra uprights), Crossbar was at correct height.
Only 5 pylons available. Birmingham supplied the chain crew and ball persons.

Chain crew, and ball boy on away team sideline, were very slow and did not respond well to attempts to hustle them. Could not lock changing rooms.

Andover's game management was fairly good (score = 47) but the changing rooms were not lockable.
Cornish Sharks' white jerseys are technically illegal since they do not meet the requirements of rules 1-4-2-d and 1-4-3-b.
They are white but have a large black cross on them (a contravention of 1-4-3-b).
The playing numbers are also white, so don't contrast with the fundamental colour of the jersey.
The effect isn't quite white on white since parts of the numbers contrast on the black of the cross (but that's illegal under 1-4-2-d) and the numbers are edged.

80 yard pitch notified to BAFRA two weeks prior to game for this game only.
Game proceeded with prior agreement of both team coaches.
Field surface very uneven. Both issues should be resolved at next game, as stadium pitch will be used.
Congratulations to Rams on otherwise excellent facilities.

The vehicle that arrived purporting to be an ambulance was in fact a Range Rover with the necessary equipment, but was not capable of carrying a stretcher-bound patient to hospital.
However, it was manned by a Paramedic, and so the requirements of Rule 1-5-1 were met although the League requirement of an Ambulance was not.
The two head coaches agreed to play even though the League requirements had not been met and a further ambulance was ordered.
As the conditions of Rule 1-5-1 were met I agreed to start the game, and the correct ambulance arrived approximately 45 minutes after kick-off.

There were no changing room for officials - we had to change in the showers.
In Norwich's defense, they only secured their new home ground midweek due to old ground being compulsorily purchased.
