GAME MANAGEMENT REPORTS

  12 August
East Kilbride Pirates No team areas or coaching box. No short yard-line extensions, at the inbounds lines.

Playoffs?
Birmingham Bulls The game was delayed fifteen minutes for the late arrival of the ambulance which had gone to the original venue as Birmingham were forced to find an alternative in less than 24 hours. The Birmingham game management deserves credit as they managed to find and mark out a pitch in such short notice.

  Outstanding items from previous weeks
Manchester Titans The game was suspended for 30 minutes to treat an injured Glasgow player who was removed from the pitch by the ambulance crew. They then, left the grounds to transfer the player to an incoming County ambulance which meant we had to delay the game a further 20 minutes. It was at this point with the agreement of both Head Coaches that it was decided to take half-time and play the remaining 6 minutes of the second quarter together with the whole of the second half.
Muz Gibson #268

Dundee Hurricanes There were no 5 yard lines, the endzone at one end was 8 yards and the short yard-line extensions at the inbounds line were to far apart so cones were used instead.
The game was suspended for 30 minutes for a Dundee to be taken to hospital with what looked like a serious neck injury.
Once again Plaudits for both teams who played a hard fought and entertaining game in poor conditions.
Muz Gibson #268

Maidstone Pumas Chain crew were changed at half time without warning and we had to wait until they had been re-briefed before we could start the second half.
There is also no separate toilet in the changing rooms and the shower is at the end of the corridor (you have to share with the teams).
Daniel Bridgland #506

Hull Hornets Previously reported trip hazard due to specific wet area around 30yd line inspected prior to game and efforts made to tackle problem with sand. After discussion between coaches and additional sand pitch suitable to play on causing slight delay to KO time. Game completed without any detioration of surface/conditions.
