BAFRA ELITE PROGRAMME TRAINING DAY
The next meeting of the Elite Programme Officials will be held on Saturday 13th September 2008.
The event will take place at the
Holiday Inn Heathrow Ariel, Bath Road, Hayes, UB3 5AJ. Tel: 0870 400
9040.
All Officials who have been selected for the programme are
expected to attend.
If you cannot, please let me know as soon as
possible.
The meeting is also open to all BAFRA Officials who would like to take advantage of the training carried out on the day. However, spaces are limited so let me know if you want to come along.
Last year's Elite Training Day, which formed part of the BAFA Convention in Leicester, was well supported. The feedback from those who attended was very good and I'm sure everyone enjoyed the day.
In next week's Newsflash I will provide more details on the programme of events, times, etc. In the meantime, get the date in your diary and I’m sure we will all benefit from attending.

BREACHES OF COACHING ETHICS
BAFRA has this week made formal complaints to BAFCA about two coaches who have (we believe) breached their Code of Ethics (http://bafca.com/images/stories/ethics.pdf). In one case, it is alleged that the coach made inappropriate public comments about the officials at a recent game. In the other, it is alleged the coach engaged in conduct that potentially breached more than one part of the Code.
I will let you know the outcome of these cases. In the meantime, I would appreciate BAFRA members showing continued restraint in responding to articles posted on online forums and the like.
If anyone has any questions about this, please feel free to contact me.

OPPORTUNITY TO OBTAIN GAME KIT, BOOKS ETC. FROM THE STATES
Just a reminder that Ken Gambrill, a former member of BAFRA, is visiting from Texas for the Flag Tournament Weekend to be held in Sheffield on 6th and 7th of September. He has offered to bring over items from the Honig catalogue and also books that may be difficult to obtain in the United Kingdom.
Members will be responsible for making arrangements directly with Ken, and arranging appropriate payment and collection whilst he is over here.
If any BAFRA member wish to avail him or herself of this offer please let me know and I will supply you with Ken’s contact details.
