BRITBOWL WEEKEND
There will be a popular Car Boot sale held on Sunday this weekend at the KMS. There is also an athletics meeting on & Doncaster Rovers Youth are using Pitch 3 & the 3G up until 1pm. This causes a few issues, to summarise:
BAFL have been allocated Car Park 1 up until 1pm. By then most of the car boot sale people will have left. However they are sharing with the Athletics and so parking (251 spaces) is going to be at a premium.
Anyone who's been to the KMS on a Sunday morning knows how mad it is round there. So please allow extra time if you are coming on Sunday to get through the traffic.
Div 1 warm ups will now take place inside the main Stadium.
Saturday, however, is unchanged

BRITBOWL WEEKEND
Good luck to everyone for the Britbowl weekend. Unfortunately I won't be there this year as I'll be overseas on business.
Enclosed with this edition of Newsflash you will find a document giving guidance to all the crews on how to handle the special situation of having both teams on the same sideline. If you're on one of the crews, please read it thoroughly since it will ensure that each of the four games uses the same procedures.

AVAILABILITY
There are still 55 officials who have not provided an availability update for the remainder of the year.
I urge you to complete the availability form as soon as possible. If you do not have access to the online form please drop me an email detailing your availability. I am trying to schedule for the BUAFL season and would like to publish the assignments for the whole of the first half of the season (Nov/Dec) for you as soon as possible. Help me to help you.
Even if you do not intend to officiate during the BUAFL season please complete a form indicating so.

NFL 2009 CHAIN CREW SELECTION
As usual this year we had far more applications to be assigned to the chain crew for this year's NFL game at Wembley than we had places available. The selection committee would like to thank everyone that applied.
This years selections are Brian Yates, Will Marriage, Pete Thom, Martin Cockerill, Peter Parsons, Ian Wainwright, Larry Rigby and Mark Wilson.
Join us in congratulating them all. We are sure they will do BAFRA proud.

SMALL PERSON
Theo Alexander Bridgland was born at 6.20am on Thursday 17th September weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces. Due to being in the breached position and having started his mother's contractions at 3.30am, Theo was delivered by "urgent" caesarean section in Maidstone Hospital. Mother and baby doing very well. Dad slightly shell shocked at speed of everything but really happy. Older brother Luke not fussed at all!

Ken says,
“I will be in England for the first two weeks in November, if there are any games that you need a chain crew guy for, please give me the details and I will try to be available. If anyone needs anything from Texas, let me know and we can arrange to exchange "gifts" in England”.
