MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

Membership renewals are now due, you should all have received a renewal form by now. If you have not, please get in touch with me and I will send you another.

Although there may be postal difficulties in some areas, renewals are coming in daily.

I am acknowledging receipt via e-mail (for those with a valid and accessible e-mail address!). This list is accurate to 14th October, so if you have sent your renewal and think I should have received it by that date, please let me know.

Given the possibility of a national mail strike next week, I suggest that people renew at their earliest convenience.

As a final reminder, the fees go up on 1st November, so make sure that your renewals are with me by 31st October please.

RECRUITMENT OPPORTUNITY

BAFRA have been again been offered a stand at Colchester Gladiators' tailgate party at the Green Man pub next to Wembley stadium before the NFL London game on Sunday 25th October. To maximise our recruitment profile we need volunteers to man the stand and talk to potential recruits. The day will start at approximately 10am and Colchester are hoping for a few thousands visitors over the course of the day. Anyone who is willing to help, please contact me.

END ZONE

PLAY OF THE WEEK:

New this week

Play: A's ball, 2nd and 3, on B's 43. After the ready for play signal, substitute A89 sprints onto the field and takes a position as a wide receiver. Replaced player A85, the tight end, leaves the field. Substitute B28 enters the field when he sees A89 enter the field. Replaced player B56 is leaving the field and is at the numbers when the ball is snapped.
Ruling?

Last week's play

Play: A's ball, 4th and 5, on B's 20. On A4's field goal attempt, B57 puts his hands on Guard A66's shoulder and pushes himself high enough to block the kick. B57 blocks the kick and the ball rolls out of bounds on B's 26.
Ruling: B's ball, 1st and 10, on B's 26. No defensive player, in an attempt to block, bat or catch a kick, may place a hand on a teammate to get leverage for additional height. B57 placed his hand on an opponent, which is legal. Team B next puts the ball in play on the yardline where the ball went out of bounds.
