When usedThis signal is used by the Referee to indicate that the personal foul of clipping (blocking below the waist and from behind) has occured. Penalty15 yard penalty from the basic spot and an automatic first down if by the defense. How executedThis is preceded by the Personal Foul signal (S38). Begins the signal standing upright with both arms to your sides, and then bring one around and behind in an unhurried sweeping motion as you bend your legs slightly so that your hand passes behind you below waist level. Finally point to the offending team by streching an arm out from the shoulder to the horizontal. |
