Referee's Signal Number 47 - Disqualification

Disqualification

When used

This signal is used by the Referee to indicate that a player (or anyone who is entered on the roster) has been disqualified from the game.

How executed

Begin with one hand held directly in front of you with the hand making a fist and a thumb in the air. Raise the hand until it is over the shoulder in an unhurried motion - this is vital as the disqualification itself is bound to create a bad atmosphere and a gleeful signal by an official would only exacerbate it.
