Join former New England Patriots linebacker Steve Nelson and up to 200 others at the Pinehills Golf Club for an 11:00 am shotgun start to this golf tournament, run by Meg Gannon and Tom Spataro. Meg is one of three women running in this year’s Boston Marathon on behalf of The Progeria Research Foundation. Cost is $175 per person, with sponsorship and ad opportunities as well. There is also a raffle, auction, and dinner (if you don’t golf, dinner seats are available for just $50 each!).
All entries due by March 1. Email drivefordreams@charter.net for more information, and click here for the event flyer.
Meg and Tom’s “Drive for Dreams” charity supports Children’s Hospital Boston and other children’s charities. This year, they chose to support PRF after Meg met a child who was in Boston for the Progeria clinical drug trial. “After meeting one of these precious children, and learning of PRF’s partnership with Children’s Hospital Boston, I felt it was a perfect opportunity to support the clinical trial through this golf event.” Meg will also be running the marathon in a t-shirt with the names of all 28 children enrolled in the trial.
Thank you, Meg and Tom, for helping to raise awareness and funds for children with Progeria!
